Upcoming NYC trip!

Beautiful isn't it? Honestly, it alllmost makes my eyes water whenever I see it. It is one of my favorite trips to take and this time, will be for 4 days 3 nights instead of a day or 2. After much debate of where to go for vacation the first week of November and about 7ish hours of planning over the past few days we've got it all though out. All for around $1,000 which includes plane tickets, hotel, transportation, site seeing, food, annnnnnd of course SHOPPING :) I am so excited I can't contain it. It will be the best birthday present I have ever given myself! What more can someone ask for than to be in NYC on their birthday? First hurdle, purchasing airfare tomorrow!

It's right around the corner

Fall. It's my favorite season because it contains my Halloween, then my birthday and then my favorite holiday of the year.....THANKSGIVING. How can fall NOT be your favorite time of year when it contains scarves, boots, tights = less leg shaving, cardigans (not that I ever stop wearing them), coats, pumpkin pie, pumpkin carving, hot chocolate from QT...and I know, I know, you can do all of those things in the winter too, but not everything's is dead yet! I dare you to find someone who doesn't love the changing leaves. Another thing I love about fall is how the air travel slows down and with that, so does work. You don't have to worry about 3, 4, even 5,000 pending emails that is causing them to push mandatory overtime on you. IF we're lucky, there will be days where they even let us leave early! I know! Crazy idea and though it's not paid, it's nice to have a break every once in a while and more breaks lead to more spur of the moment trips which I am a big fan of. On the list of destinations this fall: Chicago, New York and there'll probably be a few more here and there :)

It's about time!

So I decided to finally jump on the blog bandwagon. I've been dragging my feet but finally realized there was a whole world I was missing - or so I've been told by everyone and anyone. I'm not quite sure what is supposed to be done or said on these things but it'll get better with time! Well tomorrow is Labor Day and though I have the day off, I am 98% sure I'm going in for at least 4 hours. Fun right? Normally I'd be traveling somewhere but I've gotsta make the $$. I've made/am going to make some pretty large purchases in the immediate future. I'm finally learning to be financially responsible which is a plus right? I keep telling myself that each time I get the urge to do a little shopping here and there and try to look at the bigger picture.

What are some of these purchases? A new car - well, new to me anyway :) With this car, I'll have no car payment which is something that brings a smile to my face each time I remember it. The feeling is incredible. A purchase I wasn't planning on having is.....a new computer. Hopefully I can make it last a few more weeks but who knows. Another $700 there. And the most exciting thing is hoping to move out in the next few months. Heaven knows I'm ready for that! Living at home with my parents, 3 younger siblings and a dog gets pretty crowded. That plus, I'm pretty sure 23-24 is the oldest age you can be living at home and not get questioned by everyone why you're still living there lol. It's time to be a real adult and I'm ready :)
